You mentioned you have a Sony HDD 1080 camera (is it the HDR-SR1?), and that Encore enables you to import files directly and create High-Def Blu-Ray DVDs?
I understand that currently there isn't software available which can import the native file format from the Sony HDR-SR1, which is a H.264 based file format they call AVCHD (.m2ts). Do you know if Premier Pro and Encore are supporting this new Sony video format?

My Sony is the HDR-HC-3 HDV camcorder. It shoots HD in HDV format which Premiere Pro does edit. I'm not sure about the HDR-SR1, I'd have to check. The difference is the HC3 uses HDV where as the HDR records MPEG4 onto a built-in hard drive. The two technologies are often confused HD meaning High-Def in one case and HD meaning Hard Drive in another.
